Requirements:
Beginning from Wednesday 3rd July 2013 candidates are required to register online for the screening exercise by logging on the University website at www.mouau.edu.ng.  To register, candidates must proceed as follows:

1.    Get to any of the under listed banks in Umuahia, Umudike, Aba & Owerri to pay the sum of two thousand naira (N2,000) only being processing fee and obtain a scratch card.

The Banks are:
  • Eco Bank International Plc.
  • Access Bank Plc.
  • Fidelity Bank Plc.
  • First Bank Plc.
Candidates are warned not to buy scratch cards from outside the bank.
2.    Log on to the University website at www.mouau.edu.ng and follow the link for 2013 Post-UTME registration or click HERE!
3.    Proceed to complete the form, including uploading your passport photograph and print out the completed form.
4.    Registration closes on Friday 12th July, 2013.

Candidates for morning session should report at 7:30am while those for afternoon session should report at 12 noon
on each day of the exercise with the following:
i.    Printout of the completed online registration form.
ii.    A copy of the passport size photograph uploaded with candidate’s full name and JAMB Registration number written at the back.
iii.    Printout of the JAMB Result.
iv.    Writing Materials (e.g. Pen, HB Pencil, Eraser,).
Information on venues for each programme or the respective Colleges and other related issues concerning the exercise would be available on the University website and would also be widely circulated on campus.

Candidates should note that the use of handsets, scientific calculators and other electronic devices will not be allowed during the screening exercise.  Candidates should also note that incorrect on-line registration will not be captured in our data base.

Results of the screening exercise could be accessed at the University Website (www.mouau.edu.ng) from Saturday 20th July, 2013.

Nigerian Army Recruitment for Non-Tradesmen and Women: 2012/2013 Realised

ENLISTMENT INTO THE NIGERIAN ARMY 69 REGULAR RECRUITS INTAKE 2013 FOR NON TRADESMEN/WOMEN

This to inform the general public and all interested qualified candidates that the online registration for the 69 Regular Recruits Intake 2012 has commenced and will close on 22nd January 2013. Interested candidates are advised to apply online by following the steps below:

Basic Qualification

  • Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 credits in not more than 2 sittings in SSCE/NECO/GCE. One of the credits must be in English Language.
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18 - 22 years by 18th February 2013,
  • Male and female applicants must not be less than 1.65 and 1.56 metres respectively.
Requirements
  • Applicants shall be of Nigerian origin by birth.
  • All Applicants must attend zonal screening exercise at the designated zonal centres for their respective states.
  • Applicants must be aged between 18 - 22 years by 18 February 2013.
  • Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must not be less than 1.65 meters tall for men and 1.56 meters for women.
  • Applicants must be free of any Criminal conviction.
  • Applicants must submit all duly completed form (printed from this online portal) at the exam venue on the date of the exam.
Other Requirements

The Printed forms shall be accompanied with the following documents:

  • Photocopies of Birth Certificate/Age Declaration.
  • Photocopies of academic and professional Certificates.
  • A letter of Identification signed by the identifying officer in Section F of the duly completed form (printed from this online portal).
  • Applicants shall be required to produce the originals of all certificates/Credentials and Online Registration Scratch Card purchased during the screening exercise.
  • Any applicant suspected to have impersonated, manipulated or submitted false documents shall be disqualified during or after training. Such an applicant shall also be handed over to the Police for Prosecution.
  • Candidates whose pictures are not submitted electronically will not be considered for shortlisting.
  • The Nigerian Army shall not entertain any enquires in respect of applicants whose applications are rejected or failed to meet the selection criteria.

Job Description
To support maximization of our existing assets and the pursuit of our business expansion agenda, we seek a talented, enthusiastic, innovative and multi-tasking individual as Head, Contracts - SA009.
Key Roles

  • Manage the company’s project tendering and contracting activities by ensuring compliance with Production Sharing Contracts, and/or Joint Operating Agreements and the Company’s Tendering/Contracting Procedures.
  • Provide oversight functions of the Tender Board Secretariat and coordinate all related activities with the Chairmen and Secretary of the Board(s) and manage registration of vendors.
  • Accountabilities
  • Provide leadership in contracting by facilitating a seamless interface between sub-units and the project teams.
  • Develop and track the Contracts unit’s goals in line with the departmental and corporate goals.
  • Manage the implementation of approved Contracting and Procurement Policies.
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction for contracting and procurement while ensuring set goals and targets are met.
  • Coordinate the activities of the Contracts Advisors, Supervisors and Contracts Analysts, ensuring that their performance is in line with laid down procedures and policies. This must always be with the intent of realizing company’s overall business objectives.
  • Monitor compliance of the Contracts Team with all internal and external procedures, and provide the means of enhancing compliance as may be expedient.
  • Track and make periodic presentations to the Leadership team, on the Company’s performance in terms of contract awards lead time and management.
  • Meet with government agencies and other business partners, to ensure SAPETRO’s interest is protected through proper interfacing and relationship building.
  • Provide an oversight function in respect of the Tender Board Secretariat in conjunction with the Chairman of the Tender Board, and ensure uninterrupted flow of operations within the Company.
  • Ensure that all contract documents and letters originating from Tender Board decisions are in line with the minutes of the Tender Board, prior to execution by the Company’s executives.
Job Responsibilities
  • The above duties would typically involve the following activities -
  • Ensuring that each contract holder establishes comprehensive contracting strategies prior to the initiation of tenders.
  • Issuance of periodic contract performance reports as a control tool for contract holders and management.
  • Introduction of best practice in the company’s contracting process and encouraging participation of colleagues in process improvement sessions.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a 2nd Class Honours University degree in Science or an Engineering discipline.
  • A Postgraduate degree and professional qualifications would be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years Upstream Oil and Gas experience in Contracting/Procurement, and Cost Control/Management.
  • Good interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills.
  • Should be dynamic with strong leadership skills.
  • Good Contract negotiations and administrative skills.
  • Good presentation skills and the ability to compile documents.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Good knowledge of operations within the oil and gas business.
  • Ability to work closely and communicate interactively with all levels of employees.
  • Advanced computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
